What is The Ancestor's Fire
I have always been fascinated with my ancestry. I remember as a young child I would get detailed information from my grandmother about our family tree. I had a notebook full of names of family members, who married who, who were their kids and I would spend hours at night just looking over it and rewriting it.
Today as an adult, my love of ancestry hasn't changed. I have almost 20,000 people in my family tree and the number continues to climb.
Even with this great passion throughout my life to trace my ancestry, something was missing. But what was it? I thought I had everything I needed. Until this year.
I started on a spiritual journey this year and it has taken me many places, and I have met many people. I have learned much about myself during the beginning of this journey. The biggest thing I learned about myself is that I knew nothing about myself. That was about to change.
During my meditations I would start traveling spiritually. I would always start at a fire with a group of people who would be telling stories and singing and dancing. . I didn't know who they were. I thought maybe they were Shamans or some type of spiritual people. Then one day I realized who they were. They were my ancestors.
I started studying Ancestral Healing and learned much about generational healing. Then I realized what was missing. My ancestors were more than names and dates on a paper. They were real people, living real lives. Each one of those lives had a story to tell. A story to learn. A story to live or not live our life by.
That is what The Ancestor's Fire is. It is a place where your ancestors pass on the stories that shaped their lives, and they tell you the stories of the lives they lived to help teach you how to make your way in this world. All of that combined, if you go to the fire, can bring about generational healing. That is The Ancestor's Fire.
My love for genealogy continues but with a new purpose. I have set out to write my first book about this. About my ancestors. About me. About Ancestral Healing.
Remember, it's more than just a name on a tree. It's a real person who has a lesson to teach.
Blessings!
