What is Astral Travel?
As we journey on this spiritual path we may come across specific words or labels that we may not know for sure what they mean. We encounter different spiritual experiences and seek what they might mean. Let's take a brief look at one of those spiritual experiences, Astral Travel.
If you have come to my blog to get an exact definition and scientific understanding of what Astral Travel is, you are going to be disappointed. I am not here to provide that. Why? Keep reading and you will find my answer to that.
To many people, Astral Travel is when you leave your body and journey to other dimensions, realms, timelines or worlds. You can go alone or you can be led by a spirit guide or a spirit animal. I'm starting to get into what I am against and that is labeling it a certain way. Let me elaborate more on that.
You may have had a PERSONAL spiritual experience of traveling somewhere beyond your physical mind or body. Maybe, like me, you were led by a guide, or an animal, or just journeyed alone. Maybe you were sitting, standing or laying down when it happened. Maybe you were asleep, dreaming or awake. Maybe you met someone or were just alone to observe. Maybe you remained in this dimension, maybe you went to another dimension, maybe you went to another timeline, or even another planet. The fact is, you journeyed somewhere.
If you are like me, the very first time this happened you felt a combination of different emotions from being amazing and astounded to being nervous and scared. Wanting to discover what you experienced and eager to travel more, you set out to research what you experienced. There lies the biggest problem, well at least for me.
Once I started researching Astral Travel, I was taken to many different websites, groups, philosophers, scientists, and organizations. All of these places ultimately had their own opinion, definition, and “rules” as what “classified” as Astral Travel.
I was told in one that I had to be laying down. I was told in another that I could be sitting up. One told me I could only Travel to other dimensions, while another told me I could travel to the next room. One told me unless I could hover over my lifeless, sleeping body and feel myself detach from it, then I was just dreaming or imagining things. The point is, EVERYONE had their own version and each one emphasized whether you were right or wrong based on their opinion. It was totally confusing, frustrating, and discouraging for me.
I don't want anyone else to feel that way. That is why I am not labeling, defining or classifying Astral Travel. If you have spiritually traveled for the first time and came across this blog to help you better understand what is happening, and I hope you leave encouraged after reading.
Your spiritual experiences are your own and NOBODY can tell you what you experienced or what is right or wrong. If you think you Astral traveled, then guess what, YOU DID. It is the universe revealing to you that you are able to travel between dimensions, worlds, timelines, planets and space. It doesn't matter how you do it, where you do it, when you do it, or who you do it with, if you traveled somewhere during sleep, meditation, or unconsciousness, then you traveled.
It's OK to look at what others have experienced in their spiritual journey to see if it is similar to yours or if it will encourage you It is not ok for others to tell you that you did not experience something on your spiritual journey because it did not line up with man made rules and guidelines or there own experiences.
I have traveled to many places, timelines, dimensions and planets. I have traveled with guides and animals and I have traveled alone. I have traveled to past planets I have lived on and I have traveled to the next room watching my soulmate sleep. Nobody can tell me I haven't. It's my experience. I personally experienced it and nobody can take that away from me.
So if you are reading this, believe in yourself, believe in your spiritual journey and don't let someone else tell you what is right or wrong.
Thank you for reading, thank you for your support and Travel safely my friends.
Blessed Be.
